Michelle Ploughman, PT PhDAssistant Professor of Medicine (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.

    Dr. Ploughman is a Canada Research Chair in Neuroplasticity, Neurorehabilitation and Brain Recovery. She is a physiotherapist and neuroscientist; a recognized expert in neuroplasticity and neurorehabilitation in stroke and multiple sclerosis. She has developed novel methods to optimize rehabilitation interventions and her work is published in journals such as Stroke, Lancet Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis and Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

    Dr. Ploughman will discuss how combining aerobic exercise with cognitive training could improve executive function in stroke.
